CareNow

CareNow has been formed as an independent, volunteer network supporting Kernow's community, with a single focus on recruiting, deploying and managing volunteers in to Registered Care Homes across Cornwall.

Some training will be provided, but will be dependent on the volunteer, the Care Provider and the role in question. CareNow includes all types of care home – including dementia, residential, nursing and mental health.

CareNow aims to improve the quality of life for people living in Cornwall’s care homes. Our volunteers offer support, encouragement and companionship in activities identified by the residents or the administration of the local care home.

Volunteers will be matched based on their locality and skills against those Care Homes who have registered opportunities.
